The exhibition was organized by COEX in South Korea, which held the first Korea Factory Automation Industry Exhibition in 1990. In 2001, it joined World-F-I.M.A. In 2002, it was the first to obtain UFI (International Exhibition Association)
certification in South Korea. Through more than a decade of development, AutomationWorld has become one of the most influential industrial automation exhibitions in Asia and even globally.
At the same time as this exhibition, the Korea Automation World Exhibition (AW) is held. AW is a representative industry exhibition in South Korea that includes production management, automatic identification, industrial communication networks
building management, environmental protection and energy-saving equipment, and other project fields. The exhibition also holds supplier seminars, international automation industry conferences, and other activities, releasing the latest
information in the global automation industry today. The Seoul Automation World Expo will be an important exhibition platform for automation companies to enter the Korean and Asian markets, as well as an important platform for enhancing
corporate brands.
South Korea is a member of the Group of 20 and the Organization for Economic Cooperation (OECD), as well as a founding member of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and the East Asian Summit. It is also one of the Four Asian Tigers.
